Richard Vogel reaffirmed his status as European champion in commanding fashion. The German rider claimed victory in the RCPB Cup, the highlight event of the day at CSIO Barcelona. The competition, a Table A against the clock, saw Vogel as the final rider to enter the arena—and the fastest to complete the course without penalties.
Riding Gangster Montdesir, Vogel clocked a winning time of 69.57 seconds, edging out his compatriot Sandra Auffarth on Comcador ODL by just twelve hundredths of a second. Third place went to Italian rider Giulia Martinengo Marquet, who stopped the clock at 70.02 seconds aboard Coynor.
Carlos Bosch, riding Jolie van der Berghoeve Kar, was the top Spanish finisher in fourth position.
