French rider Megane Moisonnier claimed the first victory of the day at CSIO Barcelona. The French amazon secured the Estrella Damm Trophy, held under the two-phase special format, the opening competition of Spain’s oldest international sporting event at the Olympic arena of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. Riding Kandoo Z, Moisonnier was the fastest to complete the second phase without penalties, stopping the clock at 36.53 seconds. Second place went to Madrid’s Juan Riva Gil (Fernhill Balou Beau), just one tenth of a second slower. Ireland’s Michael Pender, aboard Madgeslane Louis, finished in third place with a time of 37.33 seconds.
