Great Britain claimed victory in the final qualifier of the Longines League of Nations™, held at St. Tropez-Gassin, thanks to the strength of the team led by Di Lampard. After climbing up from fifth place in the first round, the Brits closed on 15 points, ahead of Italy (16) and Belgium (17). Germany, in the lead after Round 1, finished fourth on 18. France, the USA, Sweden and Switzerland completed the table.
The British squad was made up of Mark Edwards with Dillinger Ne, Tim Gredley with Medoc de Toxandria, Jack Whitaker with Jack JL and Adrian Whiteway with Chacco Volo, who secured the overall victory.
With this result, Great Britain finishes the qualifying stage in second place overall, just behind France. Germany sits third, followed by Belgium, Ireland, Italy, the United States and the Netherlands. These are the eight nations that will compete in the Longines League of Nations™ Final in Barcelona, to be staged at the Real Club de Polo from October 2 to 5.
