The Andalusian equestrian art will once again take center stage at CSIO Barcelona, thanks to Córdoba Ecuestre—a globally renowned institution celebrated for its elegant performances blending classical dressage, traditional vaquero riding, and the soul of flamenco. This year, spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy their shows both at the Olympic arena of the Real Club de Polo, following the Friday and Saturday night competitions, and at the more intimate PoloPark by Calvet, featuring shorter, family-friendly performances.
On Friday night, October 3rd, after the Ciutat de Barcelona Grand Prix, the arena will be transformed into a unique stage hosting three captivating and powerful acts:
- · Vaquero Carousel (Paso a Dos): A display of six horses moving in perfect harmony.
- · Garrocha: One of the most visually striking acts, featuring three riders and three flamenco dancers merging equestrian skill with flamenco artistry.
- · Amazona: A tribute to the female presence in equestrianism, with three horses and women riders showcasing rhythm, balance, and grace.
On Saturday night, October 4th, following the Queen’s Cup – Freixenet Trophy – Premi Generalitat de Catalunya, Córdoba Ecuestre will return with another series of unforgettable performances:
- · Sevillanas: A vibrant dialogue of music and movement with three horses and three flamenco dancers.
- · Long Reins: A classical dressage exhibition where horses execute precise piaffes, passages, and the Spanish walk under the expert guidance of their riders.s.
- · Garrocha: Returning as the grand finale, filling the arena with rhythm, skill, and tradition.
Each performance reflects the essence of the Andalusian school: refined technique, deep harmony between horse and rider, and a staging that combines strength with sensitivity.
